LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® (LSP) is a powerful, hands-on facilitation method designed to help individuals and teams tackle complex challenges, unlock creativity, and drive meaningful development.
Originally developed in the 1990s by business professors Johan Roos and Bart Victor in collaboration with the LEGO® Group, LSP transforms abstract ideas into tangible, three-dimensional models using LEGO® bricks. Participants “think with their hands,” building and storytelling to explore ideas, solve problems, and strengthen team alignment.
Unlike traditional meetings or brainstorming sessions, LSP enables deeper communication and shared understanding. It draws out insights from every voice in the room, making it easier to navigate change, test strategies, and spark innovation.
LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® is backed by research in organizational development, systems thinking, and psychology. It is the only LEGO®-based method officially endorsed by the LEGO® Group for use in professional and business settings.
Whether you're planning a strategy, aligning your team, or navigating a new challenge—LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® can help you build clarity, connection, and creative solutions.

LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® (LSP) is more than just building with bricks—it's a structured, research-based method grounded in behavioral science, systems theory, and learning theory. At its core, LSP is designed to help individuals and teams explore complex challenges, uncover insights, and co-create solutions through hands-on, collaborative thinking.
With skilled facilitation, participants are guided through a series of steps that promote reflection, storytelling, and shared understanding:
No prior experience with LEGO® is needed. The bricks serve as a tool—not a toy—to encourage metaphorical thinking, make abstract ideas visible, and ensure that every voice is heard.
Through this creative and structured process, teams generate fresh perspectives, uncover hidden assumptions, and develop innovative strategies for real-world challenges. LSP turns passive discussion into active discovery—and transforms group dialogue into aligned action.

We’ve all been part of workshops or retreats where only a few voices are heard and real engagement falls flat. LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® (LSP) changes that. It’s a dynamic, hands-on method that activates everyone in the room—regardless of role, experience, or background.
By building models, creating metaphors, and sharing stories, each participant contributes meaningfully to the process. This equal involvement fosters shared insight, deep understanding, and a sense of ownership—all of which are essential for real progress and lasting outcomes.
LSP is ideal for:
Because LSP taps into universal human capacities—creativity, storytelling, and problem-solving—it works across industries and organizational levels.
